Thermistors are thermally sensitive resistors that we use in the greenhouse to measure temperature. There are thermistors in the climate control boxes that are calibrated to 20C and in the hot water supply pipes that are calibrated to 90C.They work by measuring conductivity through the two pieces of metal...at higher or lower temperatures the resistance changes and the computer translates this info to something understandable to us (degree Celsius).
