Choosing The Stress Ball

Choosing The Stress Ball

Braceletes

Why it was a good idea: Bracelet's are very inexpensive to both create and unload, they are very popular among the girls of the school. They are very versatile with design, and can come in many different colours to attract more appeal

Why we chose not to: However we chose not to, first of all because we felt it had an alienated audience where only girls would want to buy them. Aswell we felt that there wouldn't be much of a demand because they aren't a necessity or entertaining, they are simply just products that don't benefit anything except minimal style. Secondly we felt that it would be a competitive market to compete with the other group that was making bracelets especially since the market was already close

BookMarks

This wasn't a smart idea: though tempting to do so we thought that this wouldn't be a good idea due to the fact that bookmarks are extremely easy to make, if you wanted to you could make one in 1 minute and it didn't seem like people would pay money for one. Aswell you can get a free bookmark in the library and making anything higher quality than that would just put us in a loss of customers

Framed Leaves

Why we wanted to: First off it was a very beautiful product that had a great aesthetic of cost and construction to it that would attract viewers. It would be easy to make because the only materials would be glass and products to put in the glass I.e leaves, flowers etc

However we decided not to pick this product because it seemed like an over complicated product. Having to set up the leaves into the positioning for the glass was proved to be difficult on our test run as well we lacked the equipment to do it properly. As well we needed to sell these to jsut a majority costumer base of women which excluded the other half of the school

Stress Balls

Why Stress Balls are a good idea: We finally decided to land on the idea of stress balls for our product to sell is because first of all they are universal. Unlike our last three products which could be broken down into a gendered box this product was available for all and so we could capitalise to the whole audience of those we are selling to. Secondly the timing to sell stress balls couldn't have been better, during examination season even the teachers are stressed out of their mind. They need something to help keep themselves calm, and it showed the necessity of our product. Thirdly and lastly, it is extremely cheap to produce and resell one balloon which only costs 17c to make and can be sold at a base of 50 giving it a production payout of 33c per balloon
