Transportation
Walk. Why? Walking is free and does not require a vehicle.
Use mass public transportation like buses and trains. Why? If a group of people has to go somewhere it would be better for them all to take the same train rather than them all drive.
Carpool with friends or neighbors. Why? Helps to reduce when people are going to the same place.
Use hybrid cars. Why? They havev better mileage and are more eco friendly.
Try to find the quiest route to get somewhere. Why? Saves extra energy.
Trash/Waste
Recylce. Why? It helps preserve resources.
Use a compost pile. Why? A way to put bad food back into the earth.
Reuse resources. Why? Reusing things is better than buying new things everytime and wasting the old one.
Dont drink bottled water. Why? Using a reusable water bottle wastes less plastic than to keep buying bottled water.
Don't use black trash bags. Why? Black trash bags have a pigment that connot be recycled.
Food
Don't eat meat. Why? Helps to keep more animals alive.
Grow your own vegetatble. Why? Each person could be responsible for having their own garden to help grow their own food.
When preparing food, make sure your amount is specific. Why? It helps to save extra food instead of being wasteful.
Make a compost pile. Why? A way to use extra or old food and put it back in the earth.
Eat less processed foods. Why? If less processed food is produced than the less they will make it.
