The 95 thesis

What does it Look like?

The 95 Thesis is beautifully constructed manuscript written by Martin Luther as a idea that salvation could be reached differently.

How does the author communicate ideas?

Luther wrote the thesis in a series of instructions/rules on how to interpret scripture. He also wrote in german so more people could read it as usually only high priest can read scripture as its usually written in hebrew.

He also posted this on the front of a church so he wanted specific people to read it.Also numbered off to be read in order.

What Ideas are Left Out?

The ideas left out is the catholic point of view as we only got to see it from Luthers protestant point of view so we didnt have the full picture.

The big ideas in the 95 thesis begin with 1-4 talking about repentance. The primary source is told just by where he posted it as he wants to teach Catholicism that there way of salvation is wrong.

This source can help answer questions about Luther and who he was and what he felt about society back then. What it can’t help me with is getting to know what catholism was like back then.
