Timeline

Appoint Returning Officer through Council Resolution

Call Election through Resolution

Resolution must include:
- date, time and place of the election poll
- dates of the nomination period
- dates of the advance poll and the travelling poll (if any)
- name and contact information of the Returning Officer

Post Notice of Election

RO must post notice at:
- WFN Offices
- WFN Website
- Another public place

Notice must include:
- dates of advance and travelling polls (if any)
- nomination period
- time, date, and place of general polls

RO must also send a copy of the notice to Non-Resident Electors by mail, fax, or email

Post Electoral List and Copy of Election Law

RO must post at offices of WFN

Nomination Period

Electors may nominate Nominees for Council positions using the Nomination Form

Note: if there are fewer candidates than vacant positions, the nomination period will be extended by 7 days, and all subsequent dates will be delayed by 7 days

Candidates List Posted by RO

Distance Voting Packages sent to Non-Resident Electors by RO

Advance Polls (if called for in Council Resolution)

Travelling Polls (if called for in Council Resolution
