Calypso is a static character because she remains the same throughout the story.

Character Traits

Egoistic- I don't mind saying she's not my equal in beauty, no matter how you measure it. Mortal beauty cannot compare with immortal.

Selfish- She doesn't want Odysseus to return home to his wife.

Beautiful- You are a goddess, eternally young

Conflict

Calypso has external struggles. She struggles with letting Odysseus leave. He has to leave because he wants to return home to his wife.

Heroism

Calypso would probably be a protagonist. Though she's not the main character of the story, she isn't against the main character either.

Physical Appearance

A very beautiful nymph, who is a goddess. She has eternal life, so she's forever young.
