The Ukrainians contribution to Canada was the hard wheat. The wheat fed family's and the crops thrived. The wheat was a new type of wheat and the Ukrainians sold it. They had planted a a few seeds from a wheat in Ukrain and the crops thrived here in Canada.
How did they help the Canadian economy
The Ukrainians helped the Canadian economy by coming to Canada and starting farms. The Ukrainians grew a new hard wheat and sold it. It fed family's and the crops thrived there.
Even thought the Ukrainians struggled because of there cultural they helped the Canadian economy.
Why did they come to Canada?
The Ukrainians came to Canada to farm. Farmers from the Ukrain came to farm. In the late 1800's the Canadian government wanted more people to settle in Western Canada to become farmers and grow crops for Canada.
How did they help the Canadian economy ?
The Chinese helped the Canadian economy by building the Canadian Pacific Railway. 17,000 thousand Chinese men were hired to build the Railway. The Chinese only got payed $1 per day and were responsible to buy their own tents, food supplies and other equipment.

The Chinese's contributions to Canada was that they built the railroad. At least 600 people died building the railroad. Many of them died because of dynamite explosions but they also died because of natural disasters. They sacrificed there life to build the railroad.
Why did they come to Canada
The Chinese came to Canada between 1881 to 1884. The reason they came to Canada because they were originally looking for construction jobs for the Canadian Pacific Railway.
Many Chinese were brought to Canada to build the Canadian Pacific Railway. They only got paid 1$ per day for all of there hard work.
The Jewish's contributions to Canada
The Jewish made Montreal a thriving city. In the 1800's Jewish people created the city's garments industry.
They also setup many cultural organizations in Montreal as well as schools, libraries and newspapers.
How did they help the Canadian economy
Jewish immigrants came to Canada and arrived in Montreal with not much money. The Jews found work as tailors and storekeepers. After working for many years some Jewish people opened there own tailoring business and shops. Some became successfully business workers.
Why they came to Canada
The Jewish came to Canada because of Hitler. Hitler didn't like the Jewish because they where black and had a different religion the the Germans. Hitler had a team of other people that thought what he said was good. Hitler wanted that the Jewish turned down there culture and become German.
Hitler did abusive things to the Jewish. He had made a place full of toxic gas and tricked the Jewish into going there. Many of the Jewish died because of the gas but others died to physical violence of the people working for Hitler.
Hitler was also the reason world war 2 broke out. Many Jewish after the war seeked refuge in Canada.
