Exponential Functions

f(x) = b^x. b is the base while x is the exponent.

A way you can figure out a problem is by using a table to solve for x,

example. f(x) = 3^x

Sinusoidal Functions

to evaluate a sinusoidal function you must use the equation y = a sin (bx+c).

to evaluate function notation you must substitute the input for the function's variable. (replace x with the given number).

Ex. f (x) = 3x - 5, find f (4). You would substitute x for 4 and the equation would end up looking like f(4)=3(4)-5.
