Future initiatives aim to construct buildings that both utilize and generate clean electricity, enhancing comfort, health, and affordability. These energy-efficient homes will maintain optimal temperatures, reducing drafts and saving Canadians on energy expenses.
In the future they plan to have building that will use and generate clean electricity. They plan to build efficient homes and building that are comfortable, healthy, and more affordable. Having homes that stay at the right temperature and are less drafty saves Canadians more money on their energy bills. Improving homes and buildings will also create new construction jobs and push businesses to innovate.
Working towards this action of clean growth and climate change will reduce emissions and drive innovation by providing the tools to make new buildings more energy efficient; developing a retrofit code for existing buildings; ensuring that furnaces and other appliances meet new efficiency standards, and supporting building codes and energy efficiency housing in Indigenous communities.
Project Healthy Community
Project Healthy Community is a multi-cultural, interfaith, inter-community, non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the well being of persons of all ages within communities in need through nutritional and educational programming.
Something this project does to help the community is run and after school program that focuses on building literacy skills of kindergartens through 2nd grades at different schools. This program is helping in prove the lives of children in the community, helping them learn skills to be an active participant in protecting the environment of their community.
Protected Land
Many different parks and conservation areas around the country have programs that take action towards protecting the land and persevering the wildlife of in the specific area.
Areas have a program called A Respectful Act where they take action towards preventing habitat destruction, over fishing, ad warming stream temperatures. These programs agency partners with people working and living in the area to restore the area and give people ideas on to enhance their ability to protect the land.
Waste Reduction Week
Waste reduction week is a unique program in Canada focused on the principles of circular economy, resources, and waste reduction.
This program takes action to protect the environment by taking action towards empowering Canadians to adopt more environmentally conscious choices. It provides information and ideas to reduce waste in all facets of daily living, creating the solutions to the many environmental challenges we face.
