Auschwitz

Auschwitz is probably the closet Vladek came to death while he was there he caught a very bad case of typhus and could barely move Vladek said " Now its my time. Now I will be laying down like this and somebody will step on me"(255) this shows that lots of people died here and if you survived it was luck.

The forest

The war was over but the Nazis wanted to kill accouple more Jews so they took Them out into a forest near a pond and said " they intend to murderer every one of us tonight" but in the morning they were gone and Vladek was free.

A small town

This small town saved Vladek from starving after the war. the towns people evacuated and Vladek and a friend had all the food and clothes in town to them self to stay warm and healthy. They hung out in the town till the Americans came and rescued them.

Rego Park New York

Rego Park is were Vladek lives now with his wife Manja we know this because Vladek said "I went out to see my Father in Rego Park"(speigelman pg13) This is an important place because Vladek tells most of his story here.

Florida

this is were Vladek's final home was he got back to gether with Manja and they lived in house till Vladek eventually passed away in 1982.

train

The train was a very devasting part most Jews died in it and it went from no room to move literally to the hole floor being dead body's we know this because Vladek says "the pushed us in till there was no room left"(pg245)

P.O.W Camp

The P.O.W camp is were they first found out Vladek was a Jew as said here "why so much money, Jew"(pg53) "Well Jew don't worry well find some work for you!"(pg53) This was the first of many big problems to come to Vladek.

Front Lines

The front lines is were Vladek was first captured and taken into the hands of the Nazis as here "The marched me back to where it was more like me. War prisoners"(51)

Sosnowiec

Sosnowiec is one of the most important places in Maus we know this because this is were Vladek and Anja get married and live before the war. Later on the come back to Sosnowiec before being sent off to Auschwitz. then once the war is over we know Vladek and Anja meet back in Sosnowiec we know this because Vladek said "We planned to meet in Sosnowiec if we got separated"(pg291)
