Why do we study Food Science and Nutrition?

Food fuels the body:

Fueling the muscles

Using ATP and Carbohydrates to fuel the muscles for sports or just simple daily tasks

Fueling the brain

Some vitamins especially those found in fish have showed cognitive benefits like Omega 3 fatty acids

Drinking enough Water or other fluids to help the brain stay active

Promoting affordable healthy options

Promoting healthy foods

Showing how unhealthy some foods can be i.e Deep Fried Mars Bars
