Application of FDP in our daily life

Percentages in shops.

MOst products have tags saying. 100% cotton woll or even 99% lavender etc.

Percentages in data recording.

When we record data we always covert the amount of votes or how many people agree or disagrre to a percentage.

Percentages in sales.

We mostly see signs like " Upto 50% off", "sale till 75%

Almost every seasonal sale that is there in malls, markets, shops all have signs which use percentages..

Decimals in money.

All the payements we do come in blls which again use decimals.

Some payments are also like 0.55 or 0.45

Almost every payemnt that we do is like Rs 35.50 or Rs 199.65 etc.

I have often found tags saying 5/10 pure lavender 100/100 cotton.

One popular area to find percentages classes.

If I get 10 out of 20 marks then i scored 50%.

All the tests we give we are score in percenategs.

Decimals in medical area

All the tools thatw e use for measuring medine use decimals; 0.25 ml or 2.25ml

THe theremometer we use measure the body temperature in decimals.

Another area in which fractions are used in is cooking.

Every recipe uses fractions for example: 1/4 table spoon of salt or add 1/2 tea spoon sugar etc.

Fractions are used mostly in MONEY

A quarter is 1/4 of a dollar, a dime is 1/10 of a dollar, a nickel 1/20 and a penny 1/100.

One paisa is 1/100 and 10 paisa is 1/10
