Acknowledgement

I am looking forward to meeting you and your students, and being a small part in helping your students grow. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work alongside you and gain valuable teaching experience.

Interests

I spend most of my time with either my friends that I have made here at school or my roommates who I have known for many years. In my free time I am an avid watcher of the Blue Jays and Raptor Franchises. I enjoy skiing in the winter, golfing in the summer, and hanging out with my friends.

Schooling

I am currently a student at the University of Lethbridge working towards my Bachelors in Kinesiology and Physical Education.

What Am I Most Excited For About Practicum?

The thing I am most excited for about practicum is going to be getting to see and help the students that I am with grow as learners. I am also looking forward to getting in class experience being a teacher and a mentor after not being able to over the past year and a half.

Work Experience

Over the past 5 years I have had the pleasure of working two great jobs, one primarily in the winter and one in the summer season. Over the winter months I have coached kids aged 8-14 in the sport of alpine ski racing with Calgary Alpine Racing Club. The same club I raced for when I was younger. Over the last 5 summers I have worked as a team lead in the ground’s maintenance department at Calaway Park just outside of Calgary. In this position I oversee a team of 20 high school aged team members and work with them to ensure the cleanliness of all aspects of the park.
I believe having the experience of these two jobs will help me in my journey as a teacher.

Where Am I From?

I am originally from Thunder Bay Ontario but moved to Calgary when I was 8 years old. Now I spend most of my days back and forth between Lethbridge for school and Calgary during the summertime!
