You will be writing a narrative of a specific event in your life. A narrative is a type of autobiography.

Be sure to watch the video(s) and click on each hyperlink for useful information (and a laugh).

Autobiographical Incident

It expresses the person’s thoughts and feelings.

It is written from events in the person’s memory.

It tells a story about an event in a person’s life.

Sequence

End

Wrap up your story by tying up loose ends. Do not leave anything to doubt. Answer all potential questions the reader may have.

Middle

This is the meat of the story. Be sure to go into great detail so that they reader actually feels what it was like to be a part of the story.

Beginning

This section should give the reader any prior knowledge that they so that they will be able to understand the situation.
