she is saying that the monster doesn't know how to control his hunger or thirst yet so his body is now reacting to it.
She used this to show how the monster is human and has all these human traits and still needs them to survive.
she was trying to show how she could add gross things to the story to show to make it more Gothic like.

imagery - " his yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles" ( Shelley 70)

She uses imagery multiple times through the book and she uses it because it helps the reader have a better understanding of whats going on.
she uses this to describe the monster and so we can picture this person everytime his name pops up in the book
she is trying to make us picture how the monster looks. She is showing us that he isn't a big scary green guy he is a normal person.

Hyperbole - "ten thousand times" (shelley 201)

she uses the monster to show how much she is depressed in her own life.
she used this hyperbole to exaggerate how the monster feels and how he is lonely.
She used this to show how much the monster really wanted a friend.

alliteration - "Great God" (shelley 231)

what she did was show us that the monster is lonely and now he is trying to ruin Victors life because Victor ruined his.
she wanted to make it sound like he was cursing and that was a sin back then. "how"
