Solent Forum v0.1

A collaboration between the Solent Forum and the Solent Protection Society focuses on several pressing issues affecting the region. One primary concern is climate change adaptation, particularly in relation to coastal defences and the monitoring of coastal erosion, especially west of Hurst.

Role of Steering Group Member

The responsibilities of a Steering Group member are as follows: - to be committed to and act as a champion for the achievement of the Objects; - to be a good ambassador for the Steering Group and for the Forum; - to attend Steering Group meetings, vote on items of business and make a positive contribution to the achievement of the Objects; - to act as an advocate for the Forum in seeking approval of their organisation’s commitment to the Forum; - to consider and react to issues raised by members; - to consult with member organisation representatives individually and/or collectively on matters affecting their interest; - to participate in the appointment process of Solent Forum staff, if required.
