Battle of the Plains of Abraham

THE BATTLE OF THE PLAINS OF ABRAHAM was taken place on Quebec on September 13, 1759(Morning). British General James Wolfe stood at the front of his army. The British could not attack the Quebec because they were defended by high stone walls. At 4 a.m., Wolfe and his army went up the cliff and got in the Quebec land(plateau) when it's was sunrise.Four hours later, the entire British army/force was ready to fight. When Montcalm(the General of French) heard about British landing, he decided to attack quickly. By the time the french got there, they started firing their guns(rifles) about 100 meters away from the British line. However, Wolfe and his army stood firm(steady) until the French were about 40 meters away. General Wolfe died after the French reload. After Wolfe dies, the French decided to retreat but Montcalm got a wound and died on the next morning. Months later, the French outnumbered the British so the defending British decided to retreat.

Quebec Act 1774

The Quebec Act 1774 was a replacement for the Royal Proclamation of 1763. This Act made plenty few main changes to the case of proving French rights. Here are the 3 important things I think, that change, accepted Roman Catholics to join in the government, changed/replaced the English civil law to French civil law and the most important one is expanded the land of Quebec to include Labrador,the Ohio Valley, and some islands from St.Lawrence River.

Treaty

The first treaty of Paris was on 1763. It was about the French and the British written a peace treaty in Paris to end the Seven Year's War. Each group brought back some of the land they took from the other in the war.

The second treaty of Paris was on 1783. It was about Americans defeating the British in the Thirteen Colonies. The two sides in the battle had to find a way to live in peace with each other. There was already a treaty agreement on September 27, 1782, even though there was a battle/war happening. United States ambassador Benjamin Franklin was a hard negotiator that's why they have not signed the Treat yet. On September 3, 1783, Benjamin Franklin finally accomplished,and the Britain and the United States Of America signed the second Treaty Of Paris. Here are some important major terms of the second treaty. Britain identified American independence,The Unite States got control of the Ohio Valley, and all the British must leave the United States.

Assimilation

The ASSIMILATION was Indigenous children needed to be in the Euro-Canadian culture and the other ASSIMILATION was taking the Indigenous lands and resources.

Status Quo

Status Quo is a Social/Political Issues

Social Issues:Back in the day,the boys and the girls were separated from school. The boys were learning about many subjects such as math and religion.The girls were taught to write, read, and homemaking. When they graduate,the boys can pick any jobs they wanted but the girls were only allowed to be a nun or a wife.

Political Issues:There were no elections back in the day.They were just picking who had the best power.

Expulsion of the Acadiens

For many years, Britain paid a little attention to Acadia. The British wanted the Acadians to be on their side. The British tried to get an OATH OF ALLEGIANCE from the Acadians. But the king and the French Roman Catholic refused to take the OATH. The Acadians had lived there for some several generations and they wanted a peaceful life. Between 1755 and 1760, the British began to burned the Acadians houses and expelled. They were shipped to many places around the Atlantic. Thousands died of disease or starvation.

Proclamation 1763

The British identify that they would have to make a order with the First Nations peoples. This plan would make Quebec secure. Their first attempt was to do the ROYAL PROCLAMATION OF 1763. This was issued by the King George III of Britain. Here are some key points that affected Quebec. Britain controlled all France's land in the region, The boundaries of Quebec were confined to the region in St.Lawrence River, Only the crown could buy lands in the First Nation area. But this rules/policies failed and it was changed after 11 years.
