Introduction: Property on 615 8th ST, Leah and Noah discovered homeless living in the nook between us and next door, management needs to decide what to do with the upcoming construction. The development is going to happen regardless of the homeless. We must be ethical about the removal because it could ruin our image if we go about it unethically. Through the school of thoughts, determine an ethical pathway to support the removal of the homeless but also defend our name legally.

Justice-Based

- TLO will help relocate the homeless to a shelter - There is no emotion or empathy on TLO’s part as they will do the development no matter what - TLO knows the homeless will just find a new nook if we kick them out, so by helping them find a new permanent place to live will help change that cycle. - To show compassion, TLO will help relocate the homeless to a shelter
- Fairness is the quality of making judgments that are free from discrimination. Judges, umpires, and teachers should all strive to practice fairness. - This would be considered distribution because we are giving them a burden of having to leave and relocate their shelter, but a benefit of helping them to a homeless shelter - To be ethical, TLO should show compassion to the homeless

Virtue-Based

- TLO has a platform from 45 years of business - Use their platform to gather money to support a homeless shelter - Also use resources, HR, to help the homeless get a job - TLO will use resources (HR) and platform (45 years) to support homelessness which has become their problem - To act as Drew and Jonathan Scott, TLO will fund a charity, and provide HR support to the homeless.
- Virtuous= honest, respectful, courageous, etc. - Drew and Jonathan Scott are a virtuous role model - Have a show where they make millions - Use their money to build homes for the homeless and they are spread awareness of homeless and the causes - Habitat for Humanity - They are making no money and using their resources to build - To be ethical, TLO will act as Drew and Jonathan Scott

Rights-Based

- Post flyers, posters, etc. of the upcoming construction - Post them where the homeless are known to enter and exit from - Have in the poster the date of the construction and how it will affect people living nearby - To give a 2 week’s notice to the homeless, TLO will post flyers, posters, etc. of the impending construction
- The right of time is being granted - Going to do the development regardless of them, this is ethical because it gives them time to relocate - Give them 2 weeks’ notice of the upcoming construction - To be ethical, TLO should give a 2 weeks’ notice to the homeless.

Deontology

Prescriptive Premise
- Ownership rights in real property state that TLO has right to control and allow others the right to use. - Trespassing= someone who enters land of another’s without permission or legal right to be there - Trespassing applies to everyone regardless of situation: break into someone’s house for shelter of storm, still trespassing however the punishment varies depending on the owner or situation - To be ethical, corporations have the right to control their property
