For the person who has lung disease, it can prevent the body from not getting enough oxygen. The disease can affect the tubes which is the airway that carries oxygen in and out of the lungs. People with lung diseases often feel more tired then usual or say as if they feel "It's like trying to breathe out through a straw." This disease can also affect how the heart works.

The effects lung disease can have on employments is their well being and can lead to bad work performance. Long-term wise, it can lead to a fever, missing work, and loss of employment benefits. Working in a poor indoor air quality can be a concern too for employees.
