Improved climate simulation jwza

MIROC5 represents an advancement in climate simulation, building upon its predecessor MIROC3.2 by enhancing the accuracy of atmospheric and ocean subsurface models. This model is a collaborative effort by the Japanese research community aimed at improving our understanding of climate dynamics.

Atmosphere simulation technics

radiation
improving line and continuum absorption
aerosol test
e.g.: adding sea salt or soil dust aerosols
aerosol = mix between fluïd & solid matter in a gas
testing objects on aerosol sensitivity
turbulence
simulation of shear and buoyancy effects
cloud simulation
Subonderwerp
entraining plume (meesleurende wolkvorm)
different types of clouds possible
modifying temperature & humidity
dynamical core
finite volume to make calculations possible
Different horizontal & vertical pressures
