French king (maybe jokingly) said he wanted Louisbourg to be so big he could see it from France

British won

French captured British prisoners of war from Grassy Island, British soldiers wandered around Louisbourgh and they looked for weaknesses. One weakness was low morale around the fortress because they weren't getting paid. After they let the prisoners go, they attacked using these weaknesses

During the second siege, they attacked one ship and the fire spread to two ships. Also brought weapons across on sledges.

French ran out of a lot of supplies to fight back.

Treaty of Portsmouth

Treaty signed on July 13, 1713 ended hostilities between First Nations and British

First Nations were only to trade at English trading posts which was a rule of the Treaty

Ended in 1904

Treaty was written only in English, which was negative because First Nations signing it did not understand it.

First Nations were bribed to sign it

Treaty of Utrecht

Signed in 1713

French were forced to fix Hudson's Bay and compensate for damages

The King died in 1700 with no one to replace him so France attacked (Spanish succession)

Signed by Europeans without First Nations being involved

A large majority of people who signed it fought in the war of Spanish Succession
