In general, Oral persuasion
is easier to win over your crowd or person,
because, face to face, someone can't ignore your persuasion.
Written persuasion is harder to win over your crowd, person or people. In written persuasion, you can be ignored. When you're persuading someone or something, you need to tailor it to the situation (written or oral) by using more or less Logos, Pathos and Ethos depending on the situation

How are these important?
Logos, Pathos and Ethos are the 3 ways to win something over, wether that is someone, an audience, etc... If you have too much of something then your argument will not stick, so the correct balance is vital.
