Turn off electronics when not using them. Why? It can help save unneeded energy.
Use florescent light bulbs. Why? It can save more than 150 pounds of carbon a year.
Reduce amount of water. How? Take shorter showers, shut of water while brushing teeth, etc.
Solar Panels. Why? Using solar panels helps to use natural energy.

Food

Eat less processed foods. Why? If less processed food is produced than the less they will make it.
Make a compost pile. Why? A way to use extra or old food and put it back in the earth.
When preparing food, make sure your amount is specific. Why? It helps to save extra food instead of being wasteful.

Use mass public transportation like buses and trains. Why? If a group of people has to go somewhere it would be better for them all to take the same train rather than them all drive.
Walk. Why? Walking is free and does not require a vehicle.
