Communication Skills

I did public speaking for my elementary school talent show. I presented my report on dinosaurs in front of all the parents and teachers. I was petrified at the thought of speaking in front of an audience that big. I toke a deep breath, read my project with enthusiasm and energy without freaking out. When I finished speaking I got a standing ovation and my mom gave me a big hug and told me how proud she was of me.

Interpersonal Skills

I remember riding the go bus home about two weeks ago. There was a man sitting a cross from me and I just started talking to him for the entire bus ride to my station. The tasks were to listen to him while he was speaking, present my own ideas when he was finished talking and answering any questions he had for me. I had a very intellectual conversation with this man, I listened to all of his points of views as well as his life story, as he did with mine. The result was we both had a great conversation, shacked hands and parted ways.

TEAMWORK

I remember that my scout group had to assemble a tent in the mist of a powerful rainstorm. My friend Drake and I unrolled the tent and quickly sorted the materials into piles. I spread out the tent, assembled the poles and attached the clips. We finished putting the tent together in record time and helped other with setting up theirs.
