Web Tools for Organization

Evernote: Evernote is perfect for making quick notes during an interview or a lecture, drafting texts, storing books, or saving articles. Like OneNote, it automatically synchronizes all of the notes you take, so if you need to refer to that piece of writing you made during a lecture you can pull out any device with Evernote on it and find the draft there.

Google Docs: Google Docs is great for distant learning and remote work, allowing to share documents with multiple people. You can choose if the document is public or private and whether you want the viewer to be able to edit it. The very special feature of Google Docs is that it lets a number of users edit a document simultaneously, which is good for collaborative brainstorming.

Trello: Trello is arguably one of the best organizational tools for work. It suits specialists of all areas including (but not limited to) creativity, science, or finance. The program is designed to allow you to visualize and effortlessly track your ideas. It lays them out in an aesthetically pleasing and intuitively understandable card-based form. You can add notes, files, and highlights. Your progress can be tracked when you move its location from one block to another: “In progress,” “To be reviewed,” or “Done.”

Microsoft OneNote: This tool has a cloud system of data sharing that allows you to synchronize notes across all your devices as you type. The most notable feature is the option of importing emails and texts into your notes without having to copy and paste them. You also can import and export notes and images in different formats to suit your needs.

ClassDojo: Great communication facilitates great organization. And there may be no better communication tool out there for teachers to streamline communication to students and parents than ClassDojo. Be Focused: Have you heard of the pomodoro technique to boost productivity? It’s a time management method that mandates that you work intensely on a project for 25-minute intervals, then take a short break. But for normal people, Be Focused is a way to organize your valuable time using the pomodoro technique so that you get more done and feel less stress.

IFTTT: Don’t worry about pronouncing it; it’s an pseudo acronym for “If This Then That” and it’s a powerful tool for organizing both your classroom your life in general. IFTTT lets you automate functions without having to manually do them (don’t worry, no coding required!).

Twitter:Twitter is a 'microblogging' system that allows you to send and receive short posts called tweets. Tweets can be up to 140 characters long and can include links to relevant websites and resources. Twitter users follow other users. If you follow someone you can see their tweets in your twitter 'timeline'.

Edmodo: Edmodo is an educational tool that connects teachers and students, and is assimilated into a social network. In this one, teachers can create online collaborative groups, administer and provide educational materials, measure student performance, and communicate with parents, among other functions.
