What challenges you have as a youth in the way you experience your community/city?
Lots of traffic
have more roads that leave the city
This would help because there wouldn't be as many people jammed on one road at once since there would be more ways to leave the city.
have more stop signs and lights
this would help because people wouldn't be going as fast in citys and also it would help slow down traffic by not having so many people on a road at once.
not enough parks and places were people can go and spend time outdoors.
this is a challenge we face because we there is not that many places where students could go and spend outdoors instead of students spending hours of time inside.
Whats working in your community.
business
business are working are working well because Burlington has a really big population so there are lots of job opportunities so business has lots of employees.
Residential area
residential areas are working well because we have lots
of residential areas thru out Burlington. Burlington has lots condos and appartments and we also have lots of neighbourhood thru out of burlington so burlington has lots of places to live in.
Transportation
This is working because there is lots of transportation
places thru out of Burlington. Burlington has lots of bus stops thruout burlington and there is also lots of go trains in burlington as well.
What challenges our community has in making the city liveable?
keeping community's safe
have slower speed limits so that there is less of a
chance that kids could get hit by a car.
this would help because their would be a less of a chance of someone getting hit by a car.
have more police stations around Burlington
This would help because there would be more police officers on duty to keep the community safe
managing trafic
have bigger roads and have more roads that leave the city
this would help because there would be more ways to leave the city so that theres not as much traffic on all of the other roads
