Energy manifests in various forms across different phenomena. Radiation energy is emitted by sources like the sun and electric lights. Muscular energy, derived from the chemical energy in food, powers the movements of humans and animals.

Forms of Energy Elastic Energy The energy caused by the stretching or pushing together of some materials. Muscular Energy Energy found in humans and animals. Chemical energy from food turns into muscular energy. Radiation/Light Energy The energy given off by electric lights, Sun, stars, fire, lightning. Electric Energy The energy of charged particles. Heat Energy The energy of fast moving particles. Energy is never created or destroyed, it just changes forms! Sound Energy The energy caused by the vibration of objects. Mechanical Energy Energy of an object with moving parts. Nuclear Energy Example would be a nuclear power plant. The energy stored in the nucleus. Chemical Energy Example would be mentos in coke. The energy released from a chemical reaction. Gravitational Energy Example would be dropping an egg. The energy an object has because of Earth's gravitational pull.
