FUTURE TENSES

Different future tenses in English convey various nuances about actions and events that will occur. The progressive present tense is used to indicate planned actions that are imminent, while the present simple tense denotes future actions that are scheduled or fixed, such as timetables.

PROGRESSIVE PRESENT:

-Planned action in the near future

PROGRESSIVE FUTURE:

-Action will definitely happen (it usually happens)

PERFECT FUTURE:

-A situation will already have happened before a certain time in the future

PRESENT SIMPLE:

Future action is fixed (e.g. timetable)

GOING TO:

-Planned action in the future
-Logical consequence (sth. is going to happen)

WILL:

-Spontaneous action
-Prediction, assumption
-Future actions happen without the speaker's intention
