Archae is Greek for old which is relevant to Archaebacteria because they date back to 3.5 billion years ago. Archaebacteria were the first organisms on Earth. Many Archaebacteria are found in extreme environments. The gas that the Methanosarcina Archaebacteria is creating in the cow is said to be a major contributor to the difficult problem in the ozone layer. Archaebacteria create their energy for themselves. Eubacteria is usually an unicellular organism. There are nearly 5,000 species in this kingdom. Eubacteria are prokaroyotic organisms. There are four main shapes of eubacteria; the shapes are coccusspherical, bacillus, cylindrical, and spirillumhelical Eubacteria reproduce at a quick rate, such as in twenty minutes. Most eubacteria are helpful and produce items for the world, like yogurt. E. coli kills an estimated 61 people in the US each year. E. coli spreads to an estimated 73,000 people in the US each year. E. coli can be transmitted from person to person. E. coli destroys red blood cells as the stages advance.
