Notes: Short-Film Assignment Tamara Grate use of dolly tracking in the openeing
scene combined with some POV camera angles
and close ups. Good non-diegetic music to set the tone. Great pan when the girl was listening to
the music box. Throughout the dancing scene the use of a
boom/crane shot combined with the non-diegetic
upbeat music was powerful. Destiny Opening scene uses a close up
combined with a longshot when the
man is going down the stairs. Lots of cuts in each scene Long/medium shots to show
the viewer some extra surroundings Close up of the man's broken
pocket watch Dramatic use of zooms, pans, and closeups
when the man broke the clock to stop time. Extreme closeup of the man's face
and the bus driver's face. A few simple pans, like when
the man is looking down the stairs
around the corner. Great use of the diegetic sound of clocks
and alarms that are ringing constantly. Great use of a tilt at the end of the film. Sight Great use of camera movements such as
dolly movements, pans, and tilts. Nice use a boom/crane in opening scene. Lots of cuts to new scenes. Nice POV camera angles. The Desk Nice use of diegetic sound of the ambient school
hall chatter. Dramatic use of non-diegetic music to set
the tone. Ominous/depressing music. Possibly foreshadowing? The music picks up to a more hopeful/cheery style.
