Pointing with your index finger in terms of calling an individual over, getting an individual's attention, etc is seen as offensive. YET there is a correct way of doing this action and that is to turn your hand inwards so that your palm is revealed facing down wile motioning an individual to come over with four fingers all at once.
Simply standing around with one's hands in their pockets with improper mannerism is an action that will NOT be tolerated by Russians. Alongside that with the action of sitting with your legs apart or with one ankle resting upon the knee is seen as impolite as well.
It is considered RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL to show the soles of your shoes when interacting and communicating with other individuals and when gathering for meetings, one must be extremely cautious to NOT let the soles of their shoes touch with an oncoming seat.
2. FORMAL MEETINGS

Regardless, smiling to a small amount at an individual's very first meeting is completely valid as one should never forget that they are meeting with other humans. It's important to be able to connect with others on an emotional level as when they come across you, they'll appreciate an individuals aura and presence as a whole.

1. GREETINGS

What are your short-term goals ?

Type them in.

NEVER use an individual’s first name UNLESS they have given permission too in order to respect one’s formality and hierarchy. Exceptions can be made such as using surnames! But it is much more appreciated if one addresses the other individual by their full name and by an patronymic name. The patronymic name being an individual’s father’s name with the ending “ich” for men alongside with “vna” for women.
Focus DIRECTLY with whom ever the individual is seeing as hesitation's, fidgeting, etc shouldn’t occur as it will break the connection you’re creating with the individual that one is talking with. When true interest is seen from the foreigners, Russian’s greatly appreciate the effort BUT as a conversation is started, Russian’s do not tend to speak so loudly in public.
