Soil formation is influenced by various factors such as climate, organisms, relief, parent material, and time, collectively known as CL.O.R.P.T. Over time, soils develop distinct layers called horizons, starting from the surface O horizon, rich in organic matter, to the R horizon, consisting of unweathered rock.
