He claimed that it could be a Cezanne painting

Used both short & long-wave UV excitation

She used (XRF), & she found out that the composition of the painting matches the pigments used in Cezanne's era!

He claimed that if he found a drawing beneath it; then it's certainly not a Cezanne

He used IR to detect if there are any paintings beneath the one drawn

This polyene showed that the painting is not that old, not a century old!

He investigated the UV spectrum and it showed that there are "polyenes" present in the paint.
