IACMI Workforce Team Roles

A comprehensive initiative focuses on the development and implementation of proposals and bootcamp programs to enhance workforce capabilities. The team collaborates closely with project managers and subject matter experts to draft detailed grant proposals and orchestrate local bootcamps, aiming to train participants in specialized skills such as product development and composite materials selection.

Identify locations and educational providers within the DOD supply chain

Milestone 1.3.1. Achieve IBAS Director concurrence on the proposed locations and plans to establish Hubs 2 and 3, each with 1 education partner.

Work with team to create an Operation Model that is easily replicated to be used in identification, qualification, selection and execution of each Hub (to be used by Lucinda in hub rollout)

Develop Action Plan for hub rollout (establish 2 additional regional Hubs in the first year and 2 additional regional Hubs in the second year of the program)

Milestone 23: Finalize plan for expansion to other locations. Provide lessons learned to DoD with implementation pathway to strengthen program.

Milestone 22: Host Summer 2022 in person bootcamp training program

From Next Steps on Dec 31 Qtrly Rpt: ~14 students participated in the Oct-Dec 2021 period for product development cycle ranging from composite materials selection, part design, metal tooling, parts production and post-machining was worked out in 3 complex geometry parts. That learning will be the subject of the Spring 2022 ACE Workshop

Work with Tyler to Milestone 21: Recruit students for Summer in person bootcamp

Coordinate with education and industry partners to incorporate feedback and enhancements into program curriculum
Provide support on tracking and managing milestone timelines, completions, and hindrances for IACMI workforce programs
Coordinate workforce events from planning to execution (training bootcamps, workshops, webinars etc.)
Collaborate with applicable private, public, and non-profit organizations and agencies concerning IACMI’s workforce development programs and initiatives
Work closely with high schools, community colleges, universities, industry, and other partners to identify alignment of need and fit, with appropriate support and emphasis given to underserved communities and participant populations
Oversee recruitment of program and event participants to include students, incumbent workers, interns, pre-apprentices, apprentices, and others for IACMI training programs and initiatives
Represent IACMI and provide logistical direction at events to ensure that participants have a positive experience
