Bill to Law

The process of transforming a bill into law involves multiple steps, starting from the initial idea stage where the bill is conceptualized. Once an idea is formulated, such as mandating stair lifts in large apartment buildings for the elderly or disabled, the bill is introduced in the legislature by a relevant minister.

Once the bill is fully established it will be given Royal Assent. Royal assent is the last step to completely verifying a bill, and is given by a member of the monarch.

If this was a disagreement between The Government Party, Third Party, or official Opposition, the majority vote will be taken in account. The bill will be moved onto Royal Assent. A time frame will be included in the legislation to indicate when parts of the bill will become effective.

3rd Reading

The bill will now be read and revised for he 3rd time in the legislature. It is ready to be voted on to see if it will move on to Royal Assent.

Review by Committee

At this time the bill is reviewed and agreed upon by the majority of the committee.
