Double Check!

Make sure the direct object is not appronound\ or indirect object.

Find the Direct Object

CIRCLE the Direct Object.

Ask "What?" or "Whom is receiving the object.

Find the Verb

Unerline the verb in GREEN.

Direct Objects ONLY follow action verbs!

Action or Linking Verb.

Find the Subject

Underline the subject in BLUE.

Ask "Who?" or "What?"
