Informational Intergers

This educational content provides a mindmap designed for children in grades 1 through 3, focusing on the concept of integers. It begins with an introduction to what integers are and includes sections on adding and subtracting integers, as well as more advanced topics like multiplying and dividing them.

Informational Intergers

This mindmap has been created for kids in grades 1st through 3rd. The map begins with what Intergers are, moves to adding and subrtracting intergers and then to harder concepts like multiplying and dividing intergers. The map also contains information on how Intergers look like on a number line.

Subtracting

Learn how to add and subtract positive and negative numbers.
To subtract an interger, add its opposite.

Multiplying

How to Multiply Intergers
Multiplying a positive interger by a negative interger will result in a negative answer. E.G. 4*(-5)=(-20)
Multiplying two negitive intergers will result in a positive form of answer. E.G. (-2)*(-5)=10
Multplying two positive intergers will result in a positive form of answer. E.G. 4*6=24

Dividing

Here is a game!
How to Divide Intergers
If you divide two negative intergers, your result will be a negative interger. E.G. (-8)/(-4)=2
If you divide a positive interger with a negative interger, your reslut will be a negative interger. E.G. 8/(-4)=(-2)
If you divide two positive intergers, yoru result will be positive. E.G. 8/4=2

Main topic

Adding

Here is a Cool Game!

The sum of any interger and its opposite is equal to zero.
Rules for adding a positive and a negative number: 1. Find the absolute value of each interger (The absolute value of a interger is it's distance from zero on a number line. The absolute value is ALWAYS a positive number.) 2. Subtract the smaller number from the larger number you get in step one. 3.The result from step 2 takes the sign of the intergerwith the greater absolute value.
Adding a positive and a negative interger may result in either a positive or negative interger.
Adding two positive intergers will result in a positive interger. E.G. 6+3=9
