10. Challenges Remain

One of the biggest challenges that remains in education technology is that while it is simple to receive school funding and in-school technology learning, there is still a barrier between the technology being available at home. This challenge is trying to be overcome by having technologies available in the home so learning does not have to end at the end of a school day

It is becoming to be urged that district superintendents and schools leaders look at their budget and find things to cut or replace to make room in their budget for learning technologies. These are important resources for the classroom, but are often expensive so mindful budgeting is imperative.

"Professional learning and development programs should transition to support and develop educators' identities as fluent users of technology; creative and collaborative problem solvers; and adaptive, socially aware experts throughout their careers" (p. 34).

Teachers need to be educated and prepared with a solid understanding of the technologies used in the classroom. This will include them know each state's learning standards from day one. Well equipped teachers will lead to proper usage of technology in the classroom, and thus well-achieved learners

3. Teaching

"Educators will be supported by technology that connects them to people, data, content, resources, expertise, and learning experiences that can empower and inspire them to provide more effective teaching for all learners" (p. 25).
