How Iron man uses physics

My personal connection to this is when i was watching this movie i thought there would be no way of Iron man getting out of there without getting banged up

An example of Iron man using light is from the first avengers movie when the hovercraft was attacked by agent Barton and his crew, agent Barton shot a bow and arrow at one of the ships engines and caused it to shut down, so Iron man had to get in there and manually start the engine back up so they could stay in the air. The way that this represents light is when he was starting it back up he was inside pushing the blade and light was emitted from his suit.

Seeing

My personal connection to this is that i have seen some holograms in real life before and they use refraction to bend light so i can see the 3D model.

Iron man see's things in a lot of different ways. The one way i'm going to focus on is the way that he see's holograms inside of his suit. The way that he sees the holograms is quite interesting. The way he sees the holograms is because his helmet on his suit has built in technology for him to be able to see different diagrams of objects that he has to repair. FOr example in the first avengers movie Iron man uses his sight in his helmet to pull up a diagram of the part that he has to repair for the broken down engine on the hovercraft. His helmet uses refraction to bend the light so he can see inside of the engine.

Hearing

Iron man uses his hearing just like any of us normal humans because the guy inside the suit is Tony Stark and he is a normal human just like the rest of us. The way the hearing works is the sound wave enters the ear through the ear canal to the eardrum, which goes into the middle ear and finally ends up in the auditory nerve and chaclea.

My personal experience for the doppler effect is when i am driving towards a cop or an ambulance with their sirens on i hear a higher pitch when m going towards them and a lower pitch when we are going opposite directions because of the doppler effect.

Iron man uses sounds waves because of the doppler effect. The doppler effect by definition is an increase (or decrease) in the frequency of sound, light, or other waves as the source and observer move toward (or away from) each other. AN example of how iron man used the doppler effect was in the first avengers movie when iron man was flying through the streets of new york he passed cop cars with their sirens on and the sound was a higher pitch as he was going towards it vs when he was going the opposite direction where it was a lower pitch

Light waves

My personal connection to this is i have used a plasma cutter in the past which is basically the same process that iron man uses to cut metal and get rid of it so he can replace it with new parts. The way it works is the gun on the plasma cutter uses a heater core on the inside to heat up to 40,000 degrees which is hot enough to blast through and cut metal.

Iron man uses light waves when he is cutting a piece of metal with the lasers in his hands. The reason why this is light waves is because the lights from his laser are getting hot enough to be able to cut through metal objects such as blades and walls.

Potential and kinetic energy

Kinetic energy

My personal connection to this is a windmill. The reason why i connect iron mans suit to a windmill is because a windmill does not use any energy when they are sitting idle because they are shut off when the winds aren't high enough to produce energy.

The way that Iron man uses kinetic energy is the energy that powers his suit. His suit runs on a special form of energy that when he is not moving his suit isn't using any energy but when he is moving the energy source kicks in allowing him to fly and do what he does

Potential energy

My personal connection to potential energy is when i used to run track i remember getting set in the blocks, i remember feeling like i was so much more powerful when i got set because i was building up my ability to explode out and get moving as fast as possible.

Iron man uses potential energy because in the original avengers movie after he shot the nuke into space he was free falling from the sky he was building up potential energy as he was picking up speed. This is an example of kinetic energy because he was building up his speed as he was falling and his energy was going up by the second.

Friction

My personal connection to fluid friction is when i am riding my dirt bike. The way that this is fluid friction is because when i jump through the air i am going one way and the air is coming at me causing me to contradict with the air.

Iron man uses friction because when he flies through the air he is going through fluid friction because he is going one way and the air is going the opposite.

My personal connection to this is because I remember watching age of ultron and thinking to myself if any of the avengers would be able to lift Thor's hammer it would be Iron man because of his gadget on his arm.

Iron man represents newton's third law because when he tried to pick up Thor's hammer in avengers age of ultron he could not pick it up. This is an example of newton's third law because the reaction was Iron man trying to pick up the hammer and the reaction was the hammer not coming off the ground.

My personal connection to this is i remember watching age of ultron and remembering this collision and thinking dang that was one huge impact

Iron man uses newtons first law of motion because in the movie avengers age of ultron Iron man punched hulk and his momentum of the punch was stopped by hitting hulk. This is an example of newtons first law because an object in motion stays in motion until stopped by an equal or opposite force. In this case iron man's punch was the force and hulk was the equal or opposite force

Agent romanoff was chosen for this team because she brings a peacekeeper attitude to the team and she also has the training to be able to fight but also run a team to.

For my feedback i would first like to say that i learned a lot of cool information this semester. My favorite project was the one that we just finished last week for the light and sound unit. The reason why it was my favorite was because we got to go out on our own and do a lot of research and then at the end we got to present it to our peers.

I learned a lot about physics this semester, some example of what i learned were that something that i use every day in school in my headphones could be so complicated. For example My headphones use different waves to make sure i can hear the music.

know now

I now know that Iron man relates much more to physics than i would ever realize. Iron man uses physics from the way that his suit is designed to how he uses his suit to complete tasks and missions.

In the future the team made up of the avengers will return back to their normals lives except for one of the members. Iron man will not go back to his normal life because he is going to open up a new training facility that will allow him to train "new avengers" for the future

The loser of this battle was definitely Loki, the reason why Loki was the major loser of this battle was because he lost everything in this battle and is returning to asgard with nothing. What i mean by him losing everything is that he lost his army, his throne and his resources.

In this battle the team of avengers won the battle with Iron man being the big hero because of his bold move of sending the nuke into space blasting all of the last known robots from Loki's army.

why i chose this superhero

The reason why i also chose iron man was because of his awesome super suit. The super suit that he has allows him to have a lot of different superpowers all in one suit. For example he has the ability to fly through the air because of his rocket boots and he can also withstand severe impacts if he hits the ground.

An example of a heavy impact would be from the first avengers movie when he put the nuke into the alternate worlds spaceship he was free falling because he ran out of energy in his suit. But when the hulk tackled him into the side of the building he was able to withstand that impact because of his suit.

I chose ironman because i feel like i share the most personality traits with him out of any of the other superheros. The reason why i think this is because we both are bright individuals and like to have lots of fun. But we do differ in some ways. I do not always want to be the main attraction or in the spotlight all the time like iron man.
