Soapmaking involves two primary methods: cold and hot processes. The hot process entails heating and bubbling the soap mixture, melting and measuring various oils, and mixing them with a lye solution before cooking and molding.

Prepare a lye solutions Measure additives and essential oils with that method It doesn't have a smooth finish like when you do the cold process.
