A trissomia do cromossomo 21, conhecida como Síndrome de Down, resulta de um erro na divisão celular, onde um cromossomo extra é incorporado ao par 21. Essa condição genética leva a uma série de características específicas, como olhos puxados, retardo mental, cabeça arredondada, boca pequena e cabelo fino.
