This is a set of strategies used by students in order to put into practice what they have learned.

When we talk about teaching strategies, we are referring to a master plan or some procedures used by teachers in order to facilitate students’ meaningful learning.

Student-Led Classroom

Something really useful to do in the classroom in order to motivate students to learn is to get a student to be the teacher. A student could teach a topic in a very different way from the assigned teacher.

Experiential Learning

Through the use of simulations, experiments or games students can learn by doing.

Cooperative Learning

Working in a cooperative way students feel motivated to learn one from another.

Feedback

It’s important to tell students when they are doing a good job or not.

Mistakes

This is about showing students what they should not do.

Modeling

The expression Modeling means to show students what they should do to complete a task.

According to Díaz (1998) Didactic strategies are procedures and resources that the teachers use to promote meaningful learning and facilitate the processing of new content in a deeper and more conscious way” (p. 19).

This strategy make students to listen in a dinamic way to selected speakers who make a summary of the topics studied previously.

This strategy is about asking students to write about specific topics that are not clear for them.

This strategy is use to make pauses into classes in order to enhance student understanding.

Reciprocal questioning

One excellent strategy for learning is by askig questions with a classmate in order to reinforce what have been studied.
