Intolerable acts
These acts were made after the Boston tea party to punish the colonists. The acts include Boston Port Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act and the Quartering Act.

May 10 1773

This act was made to help the East India Company which had a lot of tea stuck in London which they couldn't sell. The British government lowered the amount of tax they had to pay and made it cheaper than other tea.

June 29, 1767

Townshend act
Placed an tax on items such as glass, lead, paint, tea and other materials.

March 18, 1766

This introduced the fact that the British Parliament's taxing authority is the same in the US colonies and Great Britain. This law was implemented on the day the stamp act was removed.
Declaratory act

March 24, 1765

Quartering act
This act allowed soldiers to be stationed in homes of the colonists. It was the responsibility of the colonial authorities to provide food, water etc for them.

Sugar act
An act which placed taxes on goods such as molasses. This tax was set to help strengthen the economy of the British after the 7 years war.

The royal proclamation assimilated the French to follow the ways of the British. Settlers were not allowed to go west past a specific point in the Appalachian Mountains.
