Essential Principles of Government

In a democracy, the government leaders nead guidelines so that they know how to do their jobs right.
Every administration should follow these principals, because they are guiding principals for politicians
All of these principals are essential to government because they guide government leaders to lead a good government.
"...freedom of religion; freedom of press; freedom of person under the protection of the habeas corpus; and trial by juries impartially selected--these principas form the bright constellation which has gone before us, and guided our steps through an age of revolution and reformation."

Unity Between Political Parties

American Democracy includes the ideals of many different political parties. It's all blended together to make our government. We need both parties in order for the government to work.
This is significant because it helps us have peaceful exchange of power between the political parties.
The federalists and the republicans both have the same principals, even though they have different opinions
"Every difference of opinion is not a difference of principal...We are all republicans--we are all federalists.".
We came here because of religious intolerance, and political intolerance is just as bad

Good Government

There are many parts that go into having a "good government." It is significant because our government strives to include all these parts.
"...a wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned."
Good government includes equality, religious freedom, support of industry, protection of social mobility, persuit of happiness, and a wise and frugal government.
