My Patron Saint

My patron saint is St. Anthony well at least that's what my mom says she gives me all these small medallions with Saint Anthony on it. My medallion was actually blessed by a priest named Anthony.

Number 5 I'm not sure why one miracle isn't enough, I mean it is a miracle, but a second miracle is required in order to declare you a saint The confirmation of the second miracle goes through the same steps as the first.

The fourth step... To be recognized as someone in Heaven it requires that a miracle has taken place through the intercession of that person. Usually the miracle is healing and the healing has to be instantaneous, permanent and complete while also being scientifically unexplainable. The miracle has to be verified by a group of independent doctors then you are approved by a panel of theologians and then the final approval lies with the pope if this is the case you are declared blessed.

The third step is if, the congregation for the causes of the saints approves of you they can choose to declare that you lived a heroically virtuous life, However this isn't a declaration that you are automatically in heaven but you did show holiness while on Earth, after all this, if this is the case where they do accept you then you may be called another name; venerable meaning you deserve respect mostly because of your age, wisdom or character.

The second step is when the congregation for the causes of Saints can choose to reject the application or accept it and begin their own investigation of your life, If the application is accepted, you may be called servant of god.

The first step involved in becoming a saint is having your local bishop watching your actions, investigating by asking witnesses for information and looking for writings or books you ever wrote. If the Bishop thinks your a pretty good guy and worthy of becoming a saint then he submits his info about you to the Vatican's congregation for the causes of becoming a saint. Thus Step #1
