Notebook

Notebooks or laptop computers are portable personal computers. A notebook more often than not operates on a single main battery and with the help of an external AC/DC adapter, which assists in charging up the battery along with sourcing power to the laptop computer itself. Notebook laptops are generally manufactured to be sleeker, smaller computers with screen sizes of 15-inches or less.

Characteristics:

Desktop

Characteristics:

A personal computer that fits into a workspace, such as a desk or counter. They are non-portable machines that are intended to sit on or underneath a desk. They usually consist of a central box, to which input and output devices such as keyboards, mice and monitors are attached.

Advantages:

Made of a single piece of sturdy material making them very durable.

If the power goes out, your computer won’t lose data.

The computer has high disk space so a lot of information can be stored on the PC.

Disadvantages:

Accessories have to be bought separately.

They consume more energy

Collect a lot of dust, especially in the deepest corners of the computer tower.
