However, scientists claim that classical, jazz or music that is 'easy listening' work best if one were to listen to music to reduce stress.
We use music to reduce stress in our lives when we are working, studying or even when it's just to help lift some pressure off our shoulders.

However, many can disagree with the fact that slower tempo music is the best way to relieve themselves from stress. Music that is more upbeat can give a more positive vibe and make others feel more happy and optimistic, rather than feeling weighed down by our stress.
Scientists proved that slow tempo music, such as, classical or jazz, tend to "quiet your mind and relax your muscles", (University of Nevada, Reno) which can have a soothing effect on that certain person.
