There are only three adjectives in English which are irregular

Adjectives ending in VC

These are adjectives with the structure (C)CVC and they double the final consonant and add -er

thin-thinner
hot-hotter

adjectives ending in -y

one or two-syllable adjectives ending consonant+y.

They also add -er.
