An example of this is Pierre Trudeau who was seen as a "cool" prime minister and treated like a rockstar.

The purpose of residential school were to remove the culture from the aboriginal. Also it was to convert their religion to Christianity as it was the official religion in Canada.
The school were every unsanitary and the children weren't cared for. Most usually died of diseases and were physically and sexually abused.

Due to the first and second war contributions by women, Canada as a country started becoming more of an accepting country as women laid the ground foundation for other groups to speak up and also still kept fighting for complete gender equality
Women have gradually changed what it means to be Canadian true various ways as through music, sports, acting and various other things

This was because both immigration and the the soldiers coming back from the war made a drastic change in Canada demography.

The economy become a lot better after the war and normal everyday product were being made again as Canada switched back to a normal economy.
