Paul Cornu, born on June 15, 1881, in Glos La Ferriere, France, was an inventor known for creating the first helicopter, which he initially named the flying bicycle. Cornu's invention managed to hover a foot above the ground for about 20 seconds, marking a significant milestone despite its brief flight.

The helicopter has a big influence in many of todays wars and everyday needs because without the helicopter wars would be very different and we wouldn't have a quick way of transportation.
